“A Little Helping Hand At Home” Campaign

In May 2025, the MIB BMM team launched the latest Global Ambassador campaign, A Little Helping Hand at Home.

The A Little Helping Hand at Home ad tells a fun and engaging story about a little Erling Haaland who comes in a Midea box and ends up becoming an unexpected but helpful family member.

Through a number of funny interactions, Erling does different household tasks that show how well and easily Midea appliances work.  Erling is a great example of Midea's dedication to making home life easier and more fun. He does everything from checking the fridge to riding a robotic vacuum and helping with cleaning.

The story mixes light comedy with family relationships to make memorable moments that show the benefits of the product in a way that is easy to understand. Adding an Italian Nonna (grandma) figure makes the story more appealing to people all over the world. Erling's changing relationship with his family shows how he fits in with their lives, just like Midea products can fit in with homes all over the world.

The A Little Helping Hand at Home campaign is meant to connect with a global audience by mixing fun with serious messages to enhance engagement and recall.

As part of our CGI-led brand storytelling, we released a series of visually striking activations around and inside the Etihad Stadium, blending technologyimagination, and Midea products in unexpected ways.

massive refrigerator appeared on the pitch, cracking open to reveal a life-sized ice sculpture inside. During a match, a coordinated drone show lit up the night sky with the silhouette of a washing machine, wowing fans in real time. On the field, a player pulled off a ball trick that swerved through a line of air conditioners, their powerful airflow cleverly guiding the ball’s path. In another scene, dozens of robot vacuum cleaners swept away confetti scattered across the pitch, ultimately revealing a giant portrait of Haaland drawn with precision.

Each execution amplified Midea’s innovation and product power, turning the stadium into a canvas of creativity for fans and followers alike.

“Where’s Erling?” Social Media Content

As a playful, social-first "add-on" to the A Little Helping Hand At Home campaign, we launched "Where's Erling?", a gamified series of three short videos that challenge viewers to spot Erling Haaland at his “home”—the Etihad Stadium.

Each video opened with a wide, locked-off shot and Erling’s voice: “Hey guys… can you find me?”.

A countdown began, prompting viewers to pause and search for him in the frame. A crash zoom then revealed his hiding spot, always in a humorous pose, like munching popcorn from a Midea box.

The videos ended with Erling’s cheeky smirk. Each one was shot from a different location, with Midea branding visible across stadium LEDs and banners.

Social captions tied back to the broader campaign: “You met mini-Erling… but did you find him?”.

Lines To Camera (LTC)

During the last “A Little Helping Hand at Home” shoot in November 2024, the BMM Team coordinated with Manchester City to have Erling Haaland record a few lines to camera. These lines were based on specific requests submitted by Business Units and Regional Teams, which were collected and evaluated in advance by both the BMM and City teams.

Although the recording took place during the 2024–25 Premier League season (which would typically render content outdated per current guidelines), Haaland was not wearing any official kit during filming. This makes the content still valid and usable throughout the 2025–26 season.
