Key Visuals

All approved key visuals may be used on your local country website, social media channels, and offline communication materials.

1. Minimum Player Requirement

Players must be featured by following the “Three Players" Rule, meaning a minimum of three players must be displayed together in the design (see below). If Pep Guardiola (the manager) is featured, he must be included in addition to four (4) players.

2. Player Selection

You are free to choose the most suitable players for your market. It is recommended to place your preferred player in the central position.

3. Player Selection Number of Players

Please refer to the scenarios mentioned below under the "Three-Player Rule" section.

Three-Player Rule

A single design may feature more than three players if necessary. In such cases, and in addition to the mandatory checklist for using players’ images in your visual compositions, please consider the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: Without the Ambassador (Haaland)

  • If the composition does not include Haalandthe equal prominence rule applies — all players must appear at a similar size and visibility.

  • Their heads should:

a. Meet  the magenta line

b. Fill the magenta circle

c. Do not cross the black line

Scenario 2: With the Ambassador (Haaland)

  • If the composition includes Haaland, it is permitted to feature him at a different size compared to the other two players, in light of our exclusive Ambassador agreement.

  • Ambassador emphasis rule: When featuring the Ambassador (Haaland) in a composition with other players, his head size may be at least 20% larger than that of the other players, and he must be placed in the foreground, between the other two players.
  • Standard size reference (“A”): The head size of the other players (non-Ambassadors) is used as the base unit, denoted as “A”.
  • Visual hierarchy: Haaland’s head should be clearly larger (e.g. +20% A) compared to the other players to visually reinforce his exclusive Ambassador role.
  • Composition symmetry: The players are positioned to form a triangle, ensuring a balanced and aesthetically pleasing layout, while still giving visual dominance to the Ambassador.
  • Equal size among non-Ambassadors: All non-Ambassador players must appear with equal head size (A) and at the same height to ensure fair and consistent representation among them.
Ambassador Designation

The Ambassador designation is a distinctive element designed to reinforce awareness of Erling Haaland as Midea’s Official Global Brand Ambassador when featured in communication materials.

While optional, it can be added to any visual featuring the Ambassador (Haaland) only, using the official Gotham typeface family and Haaland’s signature (vector file).

Please refer to the implementation guidelines below for proper usage, along with approved color combination scenarios.

Spacing & Sizing

Horizontal application

  • The horizontal spacing between Erling Haaland’s signature and the designation group (comprising the headline and the designation line "Official Brand Ambassador") must be 50 pixels.

  • The vertical spacing between the headline (ERLING HAALAND) and the designation line below it must also be 50 pixels. This ensures consistent spacing within the lockup.

  • The height of the Haaland signature must be 150% of the total height of the name and designation group combined (denoted as “A”).

  • Haaland signature must be horizontally centered to the midpoint of the designation group to ensure visual balance.

Vertical application

  • The vertical spacing between Erling Haaland’s signature and the designation group (comprising the headline and the designation line "Official Brand Ambassador") must be 50 pixels.

  • The vertical spacing between the headline (ERLING HAALAND) and the designation line below it must also be 50 pixels. This ensures consistent spacing within the lockup.

Improper Use of Designations

The table below provides an overview of the most commonly misused designations found in past communications.

When developing Ambassador advertising (featuring Haaland only), the only permitted designation is “Official Brand Ambassador”.

Any other designation—whether listed or not in the table below—is automatically considered non-compliant with our communication guidelines.

Content produced and published by Manchester City Football Club will feature the Midea brand logo in the official Midea Blue. While the logo’s position and size remain flexible, the Club retains creative discretion to strike a balance between maximizing Midea’s brand visibility and ensuring strong engagement with football fans.

All content will follow Manchester City’s brand guidelines (including fonts and color palette), while incorporating Midea’s brand identity through the use of Midea Blue where applicable.
