Introduction

Research has shown that including awards and claims in your communications can enhance consumer trust in the brand and positively influence purchase decisions. Therefore, we encourage you to incorporate our Euromonitor-certified claims wherever possible in your communications.

Euromonitor International

Euromonitor is a recognized market research company providing industry reports, business intelligence, and data. Please note that claims derived from Euromonitor reports are purchased to substantiate legitimate research. However, legal constraints for using such claims may apply and vary by country and communication type. Always consult your local legal counsel before implementing any #1 claims (see section "Legal Considerations").

Important: Claims have expiration dates.
Once expired, the claim cannot be renewed, and Euromonitor will no longer support its usage. Materials already produced using an expired claim may continue to be used for a short, reasonable period.

Example: A claim signed on January 1, 2024, and expiring on December 31, 2024, cannot be used for any marketing activity on or after January 1, 2025. However, a product package printed on December 31, 2024, may still be used within a short grace period.

For any questions regarding claim validity or Euromonitor contracting:

  • For "Midea – World's No.1 Smart Home Appliances Brand" only: Please contact Hunter Hu.
  • For all the other claims: Please contact the relevant PD directly by referring to the Excel file available at the bottom of the page under the section “Other Languages”.
Claim Statement Certificate

In certain local markets, the use of advertising claims may be subject to additional consumer protection regulations that require supporting documentation.

To ensure transparency and compliance across all regions, the Claim Statement Certificate for our World’s No.1 Smart Home Appliances Brand claim, validated by Euromonitor, is available for download below. This certificate serves as formal proof and should be used whenever substantiation is required by local authorities, partners, or agencies.

For claim certificates related to specific product categories, please contact the relevant Product Division directly.

Please consult your local legal or compliance representative to verify whether additional documentation is required before using any claim in your market.

Legal Consideration

Because the use of #1 claims can be legally sensitive, any implementation must be reviewed and approved by your local legal counsel prior to use. For any questions regarding the legal validity or approval process of claims in your country, contact your local legal department.

Additionally, please inform MIB once the use of #1 icons is approved and implemented locally. This helps us maintain accurate tracking of claim usage across all markets.

Kindly send your confirmation and related details to Hunter Hu (huts@midea.com).

Translated Claims

Due to legal considerations, countries planning to implement the claim may require a local language translation.

As per the contract with Euromonitor, all claim translations must be jointly developed by Midea and Euromonitor. Each version must be approved by both parties, and a fee will apply for this service. For further details, please contact Hunter Hu (huts@midea.com).

Additionally, Midea International Business (MIB) must be informed prior to the development of any localized claim labels and will support in the design process. Please notify MIB before initiating any label or claim design in a local language.

Print Requirement
Implementation Rules
  • The #1 icon must always be shown together with the legal footnote on the same surface or screen (e.g. same printed page, digital slide, or video frame).
  • Whenever the claim is used — whether in print, broadcast, online advertising, social media, or any public-facing platform — it must appear exactly as provided, enclosed in quotation marks and immediately followed by the complete and unaltered footnote.

  • No modifications to the wording of the claim or footnote are permitted. The claim must not be supplemented with any additional information, data, or context — whether from Euromonitor, third parties, or Midea itself.

  • Always check the official expiration date of the claim before use. These are strict cut-off dates, and no usage is allowed beyond them under any circumstance.

  • Marketing teams must consult their local legal representative to ensure that all disclaimers in advertising materials comply with any local consumer transparency and communication regulations. This includes verifying the readabilityclarity, and visibility of disclaimers across all media formats, in accordance with applicable local standards.

Official Key Visuals

The "World's No.1" claim represents a strong opportunity to leverage our world-class sponsorship with Manchester City Football Club.

The official Key Visual has been—and will continue to be—adapted into multiple versions to suit various communication and application touchpoints.

Please note that the product composition featured in the original Key Visual serves as a reference template. All PDs and BUs are encouraged to adapt it based on local market needs, product availability, and distribution priorities. However, we recommend maintaining the overall aesthetic approach, including unified color tones and product arrangement, to ensure brand and visual consistency across categories.

POP Implementation

To highlight Midea’s brand credentials, claims labels may be integrated into Point-of-Purchase (POP) design systems.

  • For markets where English is not the dominant language, localized language files must be used.

  • All claims label usage must be reviewed and approved by the local Product Division to ensure legal compliance in the respective market.

  • No part of the claims label may be altered. All disclaimers included in the original design must remain visible and unaltered on the final artwork.

  • Only use claims labels from the official Download sections, accessible at the end of this paragraph.

For further details and visual guidance, please refer to the POP Design Toolkit.

Sizing

There are three sizes of claims labels available for use. Always choose the size that is most proportionate to the product. As specified below, the corresponding bleed for production on clear stickers must be applied accordingly.

Usage

No more than two claims labels should be used on each product. When two labels are applied, they must be placed 10mm apart, as illustrated below.
